Hewo, SGland! I am continuing on the 7 blog posts a day that I was tagged by @fredhincanada to do for engagement! The third question is:
3. One of your comfort movies/series that you have seen more than 3 times.
That is quite easy to me... Harry Potter lol I don't know, something about those movies just fill me with nostalgia, especially the first, second and third one. I haven't watched them recently, but for December, I want to do a marathon. Just lying in my comfy chair, in pjs, with a fluffy blanket and a hot chocolate, watching Harry Potter, the image is just perfect in my head lol
I remember in the late 90s, my uncle gave me the first two books to read, but somehow, as a kid, I wasn't really into magic and wizards (yeah, weird, right?) So, I did not read the books. But then, when the movie came out in 2001, I was 11 at the time (right on time to go to Hogwarts lol) and my mother was a fan of Harry Potter at the time, so she brought me to watch the movie in theatre with her...... aaaaaaaaaand the rest is history lol I just got so into the world. And I became a fan as well.
As a kid, I knew the lines all by heart, and when we bought our first DVD player, I was excited to watch them in English (where I am, we speak French, so I watched the Harry Potter movies in French first). And because of the Harry Potter books and movies, I got way better at English and even got a British accent (that I lost a bit because my English teachers in high school and the other students could not understand a word I was saying....)
Long story short, the Harry Potter movies will always be a part of me. I am not a fan anymore, mostly because it's been a long time since the last book and the last movie came out, and it just died down. But, they are still there within me. And of course, I am so happy to have visited the Harry Potter world at Universal Studio Japan when I went to Osaka, a year ago. I got a Ravenclaw cloak (I am a Ravenclaw by the way, tell me what house you are in in the comments, please!!) But now, I highly regret not having bought a wand.... maybe next time!
I wish I had a picture of me in my Ravenclaw cloak, but I don't... so I just put whatever.
