So it came to my attention that some people are not aware of this. A lot of members ask me what it takes for a set to get SOTD, and a lot don’t know that comments also matter. So here’s what you need to do if you really love a set and you want this set to be on the front page:
1) likes matter a lot but what matters even more is the number of people clicking and checking the sets. You can leave a like without even checking the set, so it is important that if a cover peeks your interest, click on it and check the set. Also at the bottom of the set, you can see a “love it” and a “not for me” button. The “love it” button needs to be green if you want your vote to be registered. If you click the heart at the top right of the set, it should register your vote. You don’t need to click the “love it” button if you click the heart and vice versa.
2) commenting is also what matters. Some people don’t comment, but it is important that you do if you want to see a set on the FP. Lengthly comments are better; try to find some things to say about the set. Do you like the colours? The poses of the model? Your favourite photo of the lot? Etc. Comments like “great set” or “🖤🖤🖤🖤” or “sexy” won’t go anywhere. It’s nice when people leave comments even when they don’t know what to say, but lengthly comments are what matter. A good like-comment ratio is about at least 2k likes and 400 comments. Keep that in mind!
3) you can also promote the sets you love. Models usually promote their sets but when members do it, it has even more impact. Post photos you really like of the set. Talk about it. Members have more influence on which set becomes sotd than they think. I myself want to go back to writing blogs about my favourite sets. When other SG or hopefuls write about sets, it is even better.
That’s it! I hope you will keep that in mind and I hope this was helpful for you!
