Right, so I haven't witnessed this much gluttony in a while...And all I want is someone to smack the image out of my brain!!!!!!
Sitting on the metro, people watching as usual...the best thing is watching people watch other people. So this lady gets on the metro with grocery bags in one hand and a big wedge of Brie cheese in the other. For those of you who aren't familiar with brie cheese, it's really soft, thick, and generally pretty creamy...tends to be coupled with crackers and at least something to wash it down so you don't choke to death. The woman sits down and does exactly what I'm absolutely dredding. Unwraps the cheese and wolfs it down like a SANDWICH -- no kidding -- I coudn't believe it. No knife or slices, no crackers, no drink, no anything really, just her and this giant wedge of cheese that's disappearing just about as fast as I'm blinking in disbelief.
I know us monsters have some pretty bad eating habits -- and I'm trying to clean up my own significantly -- but wow, I have never seen anyone eat cheese like that -- especially creamy, gooey cheese, in front of a crowd who was clearly asking themselves what the hell was going on (back to watching people watch other people: I noticed more than a fair share of disgusted looks)....sorry..it's just...it was so...gross...
And another metro moment, seeing someone from Thunder Bay. It's happened twice now, and both encounters have been with people I didn't really know but we both recognized eachother. This one used to be a barmaid back home...a very bitchy one who thought I was stealing her bartender man. In any case, long story short is she ended up leaving (to BC I was told), he and I then proceeded with eachother, and that was that.
So our eyes locked, stone cold, as we passed; she knew it was me and I knew it was her. I guess that's all that's worth mentioning because that's all that's really happened... It was just neat to stumble across someone when neither of us ever thought we'd end up seeing eachother here, of all places.

Kind of random to spot that girl from TB also. It's weird how that happens. Especially in the metro, the chances are really quite small.
Oh, and I know someone who wishes she'd come back to get her umbrella by now :-)
It's supposed to rain tomorrow , or so I hear. But I'm leaving town for a few days tomorrow AM. So I guess I won't see you again till you get back from your holiday?
Have a great one !
