Feeling a little bitter. Today I just don't care, so enjoy!
So the layout on this site has been developing more in the past few days. It's kept me sort of busy, thinking about myself, posting things about myself, trying to come up with cool and witty things to say about...oh that's right, you guessed it, myself! Don't you just love how things are designed for YOU, and anything YOU want to write about YOURself?? Yep, me too.
One thing I do like is "Sex" switched to "Personal." Finally someone clued in that being explicit is sometimes not cool.
The "Pigeonholes" dealie. So you get to choose some categories that you're into or whatever. I fucking loved the fact that Hillbilly was one of them, and you're damn right I chose it. Oh, and the last one says "Fuck you, I defy categories." Well if that's not the lamest contradiction I've ever seen, then I don't know what is. I only hope it's not meant to be taken seriously. Haha.
All in all, this online stuff is kind of getting to me. Same with myspace culture, as it always has...it makes me want to cut myself with a spoon.
Truth is, this profile stuff isn't telling people anything about yourself in a way that's um...well, healthy, for one. Truth is, you should go outside, meet your neighbours, talk to the bus driver, make conversation with the cabbie, help the blind man onto the escalator (at which point he shoos you away and you feel bad...) associate with your colleagues, and the metalheads who slash in the moshpit (and if you're afraid of them, don't be. Just make a compliment on their band shirt their wearing and you're in). Truth is, if you think that by meeting people online will somehow suffice for "friends," get a life. Truth is, you're accomplishing little by sitting on the computer thinking that any of this is going to make a difference. Well maybe it does, if you're the kids who ate paint chips when you were little.
TRUTH IS, hey, guess what I'm doing right now! And I just don't fucking understand it.
