Another article done! Yes!!!!
This one is about the 9th annual documentary film fest (Rencontres Internationales du Docoumentaire de Montreal (RIDM) coming up this week....
I was on a mission to interview the programmer and exec. director and so we had the interview over the phone, i was on speakerphone with both of them on the other end. It was cool and lasted about a good 20 minutes, which was awesome. Got some good material, didnt use too much but it was great to learn about it. They told me to come andi ntroduce myself to them too!
So it was just a quick preview of the event coming up, about 500 w, and i like this one way better than my last article. I don't know how "good" it is, but just...different, and i like it. slowly but surely i'll imrpove. And I switched up the writing style as well just to experiemtn and see what i could do. IT'll be out on tuesday!
Next up will be a piece on the Link's environmental sustainability issue coming up in about 3 weeks time. Should be about 8-900 words or so on Ecological Footprints. Fuck yes!
...meeting this Tuesday with Shaughn, the editor from the Voices for Burma organization (check it out on www.voicesforburma.org)....i've signed up for hte newswires so now i'll be getting news about Burma under a certain topic by email everyday, and i have to sort them and write about the top stories for hte newsletter that comes out every two? months.
