My May long weekend was pretty chill and I'd have to say I only did something "May-long worthy" on the Monday. We all just had this spontaenous BBQ and picked up a bunch of food from this one little shop down the street, 5 of us with our gang of bikes to Dan and Amanda's on the most beautiful day. It turned out great and we had plenty to eat, drink, and be merry with.

I got home that night and found out that my brother went out with a few guys and there was an accident on the water. He's okay but long story short there was a canoe and a paddle boat, the canoe capsized and only one of the two guys in it made it to shore. My brother was on land earlier on when they decided to paddle back after the waves became too rough. Probably the worst of it is with Matt who was in the canoe with Brandon. Just trying to imagine how traumatic it must have been to swim as fast as you can, away from your friend who's yelling and screaming for his life, until you don't see anything but darkness and hear nothing except utter silence. Go out with 4 and come back with 3...
I went to visit my bro after work and we talked a little...he was very choked up about it all and probably feels an overwhelming amount of guilt and helplessness. I hope I can help him get some stuff off his chest after things wind down a little...
