Alright, huge post ...here we go...
Yesterday was awesome. I had my exam in the morning, which went pretty well. The night before I stayed up until 3:30 studying and drank two cans of Red Bull around 1 or 2am -- completely wired, I don't even know how I managed to fall asleep. Woke up in the morning, felt a little uneasy and all jittery, made it to the exam and saw Dane who cut off his dreads! He looks really good and suits the shorter hair anyway, but after 3 or 4 years of those babies I'm sure he's had difficulty adjusting. So yeah, exam. Good.
Left that and went to Petrie's Bike Shop and bought my baby, a 2006 Marin Bolinas Ridge. It's beautiful. When I thought about it, I don't think I've ever spent so much money at once aside from plane tickets.
I ended up getting called into work that night and worked with Jen. I mentioned the As I Lay Dying show and it turns out her husband wanted to go so she ended up getting us all tickets. I met her there later on and so I hung out w/ her and her friends, hung out mostly with "Steve" and totally kicked his ass at Fooseball...
After the show the guys were helping the band move their gear and I ended up chatting with the lead singer, Tim. He gave me a CD from when they had their old bassist, which I put in Steve's pocket and I totally don't have it anymore...I just wanted to comment on his singing and the show all around, but then I saw other girls around, wanting to talk to him or whatever...Man, if you're a girl wanting to talk to a guy in a band, there's just this stigma attached to you: automatic Groupie. Didn't like it, walked away and proceeded to take shots of Jager with Eric the Red, the best Doorman IN the world. Finally managed to get social enough to talk to Jason, the LU Radio programmer dude...he comes into CD Plus all the time, and has a wonderful taste in Metal, so I figure it was just natural to meet the guy.
So Jen and her husband went home, left her friend and I, we met some ppl and went to On Deck, I ended up helping this one guy out w/ the extremely percarious debit machine in the corner and he bought me a beer for the deed...Again, I love helping people! I Stole some beer from some really shitty people I knew from highschool...from a random glass I found on the floor. Left that, went to some house and Steve and I just ended up hanging out, talking. When he comes into the store he's usually kind of loud and obnoxious, but we actually had a good coherent conversation that lasted for hours...Unfortunately I couldn't tell you what we talked about, but 4am rolled around and he had to work at 8am this morning...I'm really glad I'm not him right now. Oh! and May 22nd is the HIM concert...I don't even like HIM, but according to Steve I'm going there, and to some sort of wedding reception...possible date? woo yeah.
and as if this post ISN'T huge enough, and I like writing to myself because really, who reads this...Remember my boss, who made me cry last week? Well, he got a piece of steel in his eye and so now everytime he opens it it burns like hell.
