HOkay, so my birthday was AWESOME. Just...good times and good things, it was great.
Started out with family coming over the night before, it was nice, and I got a big sketch of a canal in Amsterdam from my grandparents that they had picked up from when they had visited. I also received a little bit of funds for a bicycle, which I'm so looking forward to. Sick of taking the bus, need to get more exercise, and I need a better way to get to work which takes so long to walk to...
So yesterday I had a close friends and family dinner: Mom, Dad, Pete, Katie, Marlee, Heather & Paul and Steve. Steve was at work and didn't get there until we were pretty much leaving (jerk). It was nice to have everyone together.
Then party at Heather's , which was amazing. So many ppl showed up and I didn't expect anyone to get me any gifts but some did. Heather baked me birthday cupcakes, put candles and sparklers in them and everyone sang happy birthday to me -- it was crazy. Katie also baked a cake...these girls are too wonderful. So I got some pretty awesome stuff too, stuff stuff and more stuff:
-crazy owl birthday card ~ Little Laura
-shots/shot glass ~ Alex
-a wicked black hemp cuff ~ Marlee
-a candy necklace from the Old Man!!
-huge crazy blue lava lamp ~ Heather
-Dave's older brother, c/o Dave
-box of Wheat Thins(?) ~ Brody
-a random frog w/ trumpet lawn ornament, c/o Dan Lixx...love that guy...
By far the best thing ever: Ninja Justin came back from New York and saw Conan O'brien! And he went to the NBC Studios store and brought me back a "Late Night with Conan O'brien" mug...best present EVER.
The party was a great turnout, I don't even know how many birthday wishes, drinks/shots and thousanddlkfjazillion hugs I got, but it was awesome. I'm going to be sad to leave my friends in the falltime, especially Heather, the most amazing, best friend I have.
