hah, so crazy good night! Started off boring...a couple friends and I ended up going to Kilroys, which was clearing out as soon as we got in...sat down, had a beer, and I run into Eric "the Red", the old doorman from the Apollo, (a formerly wicked bar). Haven't talked to him in a while, he sits down, and we have a couple beers and just catch up on things...He's vocals in the local band "Rock Truck" - ugly, heavy, drunk. So then Cory comes in, completely unexpected of course...sees me, aaaaaand doesn't even say hi. We don't speak the entire time, which I found really weird yet not surprising...but hey, if he wants to be the jerk then whatever...
So the few of us left that and moved it to Jack's, a way better jazz bar that happened to have some live music playing all night...a couple shots and some more beers later and we run into more ppl that I haven't seen in forever and it was awesome...AND the cute bartender (Matt) somehow knew my name: "so, is it Julie or Julia?"...no idea where that came from, but it sure made me smile.
Couple hours later the bar is closing so we clear out, walk to Andy's, chill there for a bit, hop in this SUV to go to another party and I find myself squished in the back with this crazy French guy, we talk about Montreal, he got really excited, says im gonna love it, and I spoke broken, drunken French to him whlie he spoke broken, drunken English to me until I went home...
Tonight's my staff party...should be pretty fun...our boss made a chart of what kind of booze/shots we want, and he's picking all the stuff up now...I don't think I can go for round 2, epecially since i'm working tomorrow. But youve gotta keep up the status quo and CD Plus work ethic here, and that may require copious amounts of vodka...
