Alright kiddies, time for another installment of "Amy's Life"...because it's so damn interesting and you all are chomping at the bit to hear all about it and all, I thought I'd humor you.
Tonight, we saw Weezer with Ben Folds and The Fray at Municipal Auditorium. First, let me say...don't ever listen to the emo crap that is The Fray. Their cd isn't out yet, and whenever it does come out, just politely ignore it staring back at you on the shelf at the music store. It doesn't even deserve a "Pick up and flip over to see the song listings". Seriously, they are that bad. Much like Taking Back Sunday or Yellowcard, only far worse, if that's even possible. Next off, I need you all to make note that Ben Folds OPENING for Weezer was completely wrong. Weezer should have opened for Ben Folds, because he put on a much more kick ass show. Not that Weezer sucked, because they really didn't, but Ben Folds just has crazy energy. He was definitely a great "Get the crowd super pumped up, so when Weezer comes out playing stuff straight from the new album people won't leave right away" opener. Weezer, thank God, only played 4 songs from the new album. The rest of the set list included a lot of really great songs from all the albums- El Scorcho, The Sweater Song, Say it Ain't So, Jonas, Buddy Holly...even Hashpipe and Island in the Sun. They were really good, and really energetic and all that, but Ben Folds really made the night. JP and I are going to be looking into seeing him play alone at some smaller venue somewhere- Exit Inn or something. He supposedly lives in Nashville now, and hangs out at 3rd and Lindsley and Exit Inn catching shows, so hopefully we'll see him there.
We got home and the dog had chewed up a bunch of stuff in our room, much to our dismay. She nearly chewed the head off a doll I've been sleeping with since...well, pretty much since I was born. I damn near cried when I saw it. Then, I noticed she chewed the laces off my Timberlands AND JP's Doc Martens. She also chewed a big chunk out of our egg crate mattress pad. She's started gnawing on the memory foam mattress cover, but didn't make it through. Yea, that's right, she pulled the sheets of the mattress, pulled up the memory foam pad, and then got to the egg crate. So, she knew what she was trying to do. It's not like it was there and she just started chewing on it for the hell of it. She had to work at it. Same with the doll. He was wrapped in a blanket, under a sheet, under a comforter, so she had to dig to get to him. I guess she just had a rough day. I don't know, because I was home all day playing with her and stuff.
And, finally, I got my five Ansel Adams prints in the mail today. EBAY is awesome, lemme tell ya. They're going to look AWESOME on the wall in our dining room in our new apartment in 2 weeks. I just have to go hunt down 4 or 5 22"x28" black frames for them. I think I'm going to head over to the old house and grab some of the animal print pictures and steal the frames.
That's it, kids, in all it's mundane glory.
Oh, and because I updated twice in one day, be sure to catch at least the bottom half of the earlier entry...it's something I was really upset about (and still am, a little bit).

Concert sounded like fun Makes me wanna go see Ben Folds.
My interviews went well, but I only one of the jobs is a design position which I won't know about for like a week. So, in hopes I get that, I've already turned down one job. I had another interview this morning, and since I knew I'd probably urn it down anyway due to wanting the design job I FUCKING KILLED. Best interview ever for me. SO, that's the secret. Don't give a shit.
Cross your fingers that I get the design gig. I REALLY want it!
