My sweet, wonderful, cute, adorable, precious, baby puppy has parvo.

He's in the animal hospital right now, and the vet says it is too early to tell if he's going to be OK or not.

He was fine last night, running around and playing and barking and aggravating the big dog like a normal puppy...and then this morning, he started whining and crying. He had two accidents in the house, which is not like him...and he had dry heaves. I feel really REALLY bad now because we yelled at him this morning for being so noisy, and then again for the accidents. He was just trying to tell us he was sick....I feel really bad.

By the time JP got him to the vet's today, he was throwing up and very listless. JP went to see him later, after the antibiotics and puppy IV's were hooked up, and he started barking and licking his hands. The vet said if he's still acting like that tomorrow and Saturday, then he should be ok.

I had a puppy a few years ago die from parvo...and all I can remember is how horrible that puppy looked when we brought her little body home to bury it. I won't be able to stand seeing Dax like that.

I've been crying all day. I had three apprehensions in an hour at work today, and I stopped every one in tears. Our big dog is running all over the house, whimpering and trying to find him.

We have to disinfect and bleach EVERYTHING...and toss his favorite toy, Smoochy Poochy.

Please, please, please...whoever you pray to, please pray that my puppy will be ok. Please send good karma his way. He's such a great little guy. I am so incredibly upset.....I am just so nervous he's going to die and there isn't anything I can do about it.
