Hello SG and all my wonderiffic friends.
I haven't much to say, really. The last few days have been filled with puppy training- "NO! BAD DOG!", running outside on potty breaks, spending INSANE amounts of money at Petco buying two of the same toys...only to have both dogs continuously go after whichever toy happens to be in the others' mouth at the moment, introducing him to family and friends, trying to keep him from howling at the following: the alarm, the hair dryer, the lawn people outside, the Cardigans' cd in the CD player, the other dog when she's out of the crate and he's in the crate, and his little squeeky toy named Smoochy Poochy...needless to say it's been a quite fun, albiet crazy last few days.
Happy to say, though, I think he's quite adjusted to his new home. And we'll up and move him in a few weeks and he'll be all mal-adjusted and we'll go through this all again. I have been trying to snap pics to show you all his inevitably jealousy warranting cuteness (the vet said she wouldn't give him back because he was so cute, the humane society said they wouldn't let us adopt him because he was so cute, and so on), but the little fucker won't stay still long enough for me to take even a single decent picture. He seems to be under the impression that the camera will steal his soul, so he must jump at it and snap at it whenever it is near him. He's a cute little bugger, nonetheless.
On the downside, yesterday I had yet ANOTHER tire blow-out while we were driving, this one also on the interstate. That means, in the last year and a half of owning this car, I have had FOUR blown tires. I had to go buy a new tire at WalMart today, and while I was there they pointed out that two other tires were completly bald already on the edges and I risked blow outs. So, I spent $261 today on three new tires. The only reason the other one is in good shape is because we bought it just three weeks ago when the LAST tire blew out. I'm starting to think my vehicle may not be entirely safe. Alright, something else to worry about.
On top of that, I couldn't go to work today because I was sans vehicle for five hours while they replaced the tires. I tried calling our "Employee Absence Hotline" but the machine never picked up. I tried calling customer service and was hung up on twice. I tried calling my office, no one answered. I even tried calling a couple cashier stations, and I either got hung up on or placed on hold until I frustratedly hung up. I finally ended up EMAILING my boss, which I am positive he didn't receive, as I have no received a response. I don't even know if my boss came into work today. So, I may be getting in trouble upon my return tomorrow. But what was I supposed to do? I tried calling for about 2 hours.
That's about all I've got, SG. I'm making teriyaki steak kabobs on the grill tonight, served over jambalaya rice. Too bad you all aren't in the area, it's going to be a great dinner!

Hopefully you didn't get in trouble for not showing up at work, but at least you tried.
And, I may be a day late, but I'm coming over for some kabobs. Hope you got some left-overs.
