First, thank you for all the BRILLIANT music suggestions. Please, keep them coming. I have a month before I unload all my music on her. Three CD's burned, so far.
Next, I had an interview with Target today for Asset Protection Specialist. The store I interviewed with wasn't hiring, but I still have a 2nd interview with the District Manager on Tuesday. They're creating a "floater" position, which means, basically, that I will be subject to traveling to any of the 8 stores in the district when they need help. I would be paid hourly pay, plus mileage, which is definitely not bad. And, on top of it all, I am guaranteed a spot when the Mt. Juliet, TN store opens (which is approximately 7 min. from my house). Actually, by the time that store opens, I may be an Asset Protection Executive choice (manager of the dept.). Wish me luck for Tuesday's interview. The manager that interviewed me today kept on telling me how impressed she was by my determination, articulation, and intelligence. Target is also a woman friendly company when it comes to hiring in the AP department- 4 of 8 stores in the district have female AP managers, and I think more than half of all the district managers are female. That's hard to find in the Asset Protection/Loss Prevention departments of ANY store.
Third, we are officially moving during the 2nd week of August. JP got offered the security officer position at Peyton Place Apartments...and the rent we'll be paying on a 2 bedroom HUGE apartment is $270 a month. They're BRAND new, never been leased before apartments and they are SOOOO nice. I'd move tomorrow if I had the opportunity to. The apartment owner also told him that he may charge people when they lock themselves out of their apartments (like, $5) and fine them (about $25) when they break noise ordinances. He said he'd be ok with fining them for the noise thing, but not for locking themselves out. So, after I just finally got all settled in, we're moving. It figures.
Fourth, Brandi called me today. She's moving to South Carolina to be with Chris July 2. That's really soon. It makes me sad. She's been such a shit head lately- I haven't heard from her in three weeks- I just feel like I've lost my best friend. We ate dinner today and then went to this little tent thing the Humane Society had set up outside the mall. I'm looking for another dog to befriend Alley...and Brandi adopted the CUTEST little boston terrier mix. We named him Yoda.
Fifth, I have to upload some more pics. I have camping pictures, as well as pictures of Brandi, my mom and grandma...Stuff I just KNOW you all are dying to see.
Sixth, I have an appointment to take Alley to the Humane Society at 10 am tomorrow to meet some of the other puppies they have there. They have a 4 week old Chocolate Lab puppy that I really think we're going to end up getting, but Alley needs to meet him first. Alley is an incredibly friendly dog, so I know she'd get along with most any puppy I would bring home. She's so energetic that she really does just need a friend to play with when we're both at work.
Ok, I'm off to clean the house now!!
Love and hugs!!

Blur should be added to the list....
Good luck with the interview!
Target was one of the worst places I ever worked (and I worked back in the TSC, it was even worse for employees that were on the floor), but the AP folks always seemed like they were okay with the job. A little bored, standing in front of the doors everyday trying to look "intimidating", but still satisfied.
I wish you the best in your Target endeavors.
