I was going to let that journal entry sit for a few days to collect comments again, but after the super nice comment abadinfluence left for me, I wanted that to be the last comment for that journal entry. So, whenever I need picking up a little, I can look right back on that and see that comment...without having to search high and low. Thank you for the kind words!!
Ok, so where to start, where to start...
MY COUSIN...
Turns out I'm not fucking her up after all. I checked out her Xanga blog and she's much happier sounding. Said something about getting good advice from an older person...I assume that is me... That makes me pretty happy. I was worried about her. She sounded really down about the boy and I know how it feels to have your heart broken, so I tried to comfort her. It's so weird hearing her talk about relationships and romance when it feels like I was just changing her diaper. I'm getting old!! At least I have the opportunity to be an influence on someone who needs it- she's at such an impressionable age, where she can make a shit ton of wrong choices...I hope that she can learn from what I tell her (my errors) and save making her own mistakes on the real good stuff.
RANDOM THINGS I'VE FOUND IN MY HOUSE:
Installment one...The following were unearthed in my house- origins mostly unknown...reaffirming the fact that I HATE MOVING. I want the moving faeries to come and take away all the crap they left at my house!
3 unused cans of red spray paint found under the couch.
1 box of expired, extra large condoms found under the kitchen sink.
5 boxes of hair color- dark brown, light brown, auburn, pink, and blue...found under the bathroom sink, in an empty bedroom, under a bed, and by the front door.
1 USED condom in the closet of one of my spare rooms. (I've never had sex in a closet, so it isn't mine.)
Then, there are the things I'm unearthing that prove that I am a pack-rat. I'm trying to change, as these things will not be moving anywhere with me other than to the dumpster:
My spanish, biology and geometry notebooks from grades 9 and 10.
3 dozen dead roses of various colors found in vases in a cabinet in the kitchen.
9 bottles of various alcohols...all empty.
and...a HUGE box (one so big I can't lift) full of miscellaneous items, all appearing to be broken and irreparable. Ceramic objects, minus the broken off chunks...cds...various cords the dogs have chewed...books missing entire chapters, not just pages...a pink flamingo minus the metal legs that stand it up...an expanding file folder with no lid filled to the brink with pamphlets and letters from 50 odd colleges that I applied to with acceptance letters included...from grade 12.
WHY DO I HAVE ALL THIS CRAP AND HOW DO I MAKE IT ALL GO AWAY BEFORE FRIDAY?!
When I move again, with him, in a year or so when he gets transferred out of Lebanon...we will be MINIMALISTS! No more massive amounts of stupid stuff for us! Just our toys and candles and cool stuff worth having. No more crap!
PICTURES...
In the event that the moving transpires as planned, I will take pictures when it is all complete and our new home is all beautifuled up. Then, if I can enlist the help of a certain aforementioned friend, I will post said pictures so you can all be jealous of my mad decorating skillz. Maybe, if you all are lucky, and continue to be the fabulous, loving, and caring friends that you are, I will toss myself in a couple of those photographs...so then you can all be jealous of my insane beauty. (Though I'd rather you all just adore my sarcastic wit.)
That's all. Carry on, lovelies!
