Hello darlings!
As promised, first and foremost, my personal review of Sin City...THAT MOVIE WAS AWESOME!!!!
The story, the characters...the way it was filmed...it really looked like a live action frame by frame black and white comic. I loved the cinematography. It was just amazing. There hasn't been anything filmed quite like this, and it's really a brilliant concept. The cast did such a fucking good job...and they all looked HOT! Well, with the exception of Brittany Murphy, who severely overacted her part. Quentin Tarantino was a guest director, and I think his influence is pretty evident. I really think this is the best ,movie I've seen in a LONG time...simply because it was SO original! If you haven't seen it, you really need to. It's definitely something that (I think) has it's perks seeing it on the big screen. It's going to be good on DVD and the TV, but it was just phenomenal on the big screen. LIsten to me, I don't rave about movies much. SEE THE MOVIE, PEOPLE!
OTHER MOVIES I CAN'T WAIT FOR...
-Kung Fu Hustle (See the trailer: here)
-Amityville Horror (trailer)
-Cars (new Pixar
movie for kids)
-Kingdom of Heaven
-The Skeleton Key (a voodoo movie!!)
AT MIDNIGHT LAST NIGHT:
Wal-Mart released the newest set of Star Wars collectible figures. They're having some HUGE tent extravaganza thing in the next two days- complete with lifesize action figures, people dressed up- the whole nine yards. So, where were my honey and I at approximately 12:01 am? You are correct, if you guessed down the toy aisle at Wal-Mart, giggling and looking at the new toys like we were 5. We didn't buy any, but a friend of his bought almost the entire new set (30 some figures!). They have also made these little mini looking figures. They are SO cute! I want the set with Leia and Hans Solo and the set with Yoda and the Storm Trooper. They would look so cool on the computer desk hangin out.
TOYS AND COMICS...
When my boyfriend's sister and brother-in-law redo their computer room for the new baby, we will probably be inheriting their large collection of toys. They have lots of MacFarlane figures (Leatherface, Spawn, etc), Simpsons Toys, Jay and Silent Bob toys...they're so cool. They'll look awesome in our computer room, too. The man's also re-subscribed to some Marvel Comics, which makes me insanely happy. I X-Men related anything. My entire childhood was spent being the ONLY girl who knew about all the X-Men, what team they were on, who they married and had kids with, etc, etc, etc. My baby can't get over the fact that I am (almost) as big of an X-Men and Star Wars fan as he is, and that I'm all about comics and toys and seeing the movies like he is. I get brownie points every time we start talking about stuff like that.
Sometimes, I really am just a big dork. It's cool, though.
I FEEL THE NEED TO GUSH:
The boyfriend woke me up early this morning, just to tell me how happy I make him and how beautiful he thinks I am. He fell asleep holding me so tight...and though we usually roll over to opposite sides of the bed once we fall asleep, I woke up this morning to him still holding me just as tight. I that man SO much!
Soo....
Tonight I am going to lay around and be lazy. I learned today how to post pics of stuff...I hope they work right. I'm going to hit submit now and see.
Thanks for reading! Love you all!
Edited to add...Of course, my photo adding DID NOT WORK. I'm so computer stupid. Help!!!!!
PS. I was bored, so I added a wishlist. Go look at all the dumb stuff I wish people would buy for me. Too bad no one will, huh?!

And yes, Sin City was amazing. I was so impressed by how closely a lot of the shots looked to the comic. When Marv was swimming through the water and grabbed hold of the pipe to swim through, that looked EXACTLY like the printed page. My jaw was on the floor. I thought that Brittney Murphy *almost* did a good job, but she tried to hard. Other than that, the only person I didn't like was Michael Madsen. I thought he was way off during that first scene. And I LOVE Michael Madsen. By the way, which story was your favorite? My favorite comic of the three was That Yellow Bastard, but my favorite story in the movie was the original Sin City, which I guess has been renamed *cough* The Hard Goodbye.
Wow, that was really long.
