*/ insert rant about shitty art, shitty artists and people that call themselves such even though they suck donkey balls or are so juvenile that their "work" looks like a six year old monkey in play school made it.
Just because you have a dslr doesn't make you a photographer. Just because you throw paint around doesn't mean you need to be a stuffy cunt. We're all just trying to do what makes us happy and get by man.

I lost my potential contract with the football league for the year because the price I quoted them was "much higher than we'd anticipated". I had to break down the costs further for them to point out that I was basically doing it for potentially less than minimum wage as a favour because I'd probably be at most of my teams games anyway.
I quoted them 150 to cover any games held in Dublin (because it's only a half hour away) and 200 to cover ones held outside of Dublin (because they're all at the other side of the country, which means travelling for 3-5 hours). Their response was "is that for the whole season?". I shit you not. They wanted me to cover 16 games for 350. I even ran the pricing and contract terms by some pro's I know and they all agreed it was a steal for the league.
Since then, they've been getting images from Facebook that family/fans are taking with their point-and-shoots and entry DSLR's for free. They're asking permission first, but they're not paying a penny. What little images they're getting are of laughable quality. They've approached me about pictures of the last game, asking for permission to use them. I haven't even responded, but I'm keeping an eye on their site. If I see one of mine appear on there, they're getting an invoice.
So yeah, /rant. I dislike that crap. I'm not saying I'm amazing, great, or even good. I'm just saying, know your smegging limits.
