Another week, another worm infecting every windows pc on campus. I go out of my way to avoid running any microsoft software, and it's stupid security holes still eat huge chunks of my time. I spent two days this week writing a lsass vulnerability scanner, which ment reverse engineering other scanners, sniffing smb protocol traffic, and researching wierd half-documented protocols. It's tedious and it's so horribly, stupidly, wasteful that I want to puke. If these idiots would just stop running software that they KNOW to be buggier than a month old burger left in the dumpster (ie any microsoft software), these problems wouldn't even exist. Sigh...
