this does concern me.

Oh, things were never really that great over there. My enjoyment of the job was based on three main factors. Firstly, most of the people I was working with were really awesome folk. Secondly, I was making good money. Thirdly, and perhaps most importantly, during the early phase of my career there, I was just giddy to have a job in the industry that I sort of turned a blind eye to some of the more unusual aspects of the gig.

I'd been warned on multiple occasions prior to starting with the company that people "didn't want to say anything, but I sort of heard that's not the best place to work". Nobody wanted to say something directly, but everybody seemed to have a cautionary tale or "knew somebody who used to work with somebody". It was kind of mysterious.

Ultimately, with a few brief exceptions, I basically dreaded going in every single day for the past two years of my four year stint with them. I stuck it out for two big reasons - I was working with a bunch of friends, and I needed a certain income level to make my car payments.

I kept a lot of shit bottled up.

We should really go have a beer one night.
