In other news, there've been questions so I should clarify: the jetsetting is, alas, merely work-related. Ye Olde Corporate Bookstore Chayne plans to send me all over the country to spread the supply chain gospel. I've been giving this spiel for audiences of increasing size using paper handouts and a live connection to the company's intranet, which was cutting it when it was me in a backroom at a mall store with half a dozen people, but barely whelmed at the last couple of hotels. To remedy this I've been learning PowerPoint, which is quite nifty and has begun exercising an influence on how I regard the transmission of information to a live audience.
But you know what? Working all day in PowerPoint was more fun than watching Videodrome. Holy shit, that was as tedious as being stuck talking to some media studies undergrad at a party where you don't know anyone and the music's not loud enough.
