No time for love, SG.

Nothing personal, me droogs... I'm just hooked on a little thing called real life these days. It's free, and a lot more fulfilling. Look me up there sometime, honkies and honkettes.

Step by step,
All the happy saints go marching in.
And if a saint step out of line
He'll have to start again.
'Cause Jacob's golden ladder
Gets slippery at the top.
And many a happy-go-lucky saint
Has made that long, long drop.

If I'm late, don't wait.
Go on without me.
I may tarry awhile.
I need to know
Before I go
How come...

Well... I did get some good drawing done. So there's that...

Does it make me gay that I find bullshitting with katiebarthedoor to be more of a draw for me to this site than the naked girls sometimes? Really? It does? Does this mean I get a better wardrobe now?

yeah, and their names always like McGavon or Keller. trying to jam up Walker, they have no chance.

i'm currently in negotiations with OniComics to do a Renegade/Walker crossover. much along Marvels 'what if...?' series.
katiebarthedoor:
also, early mornings are for RPG's. late nigh smokeouts are for fighters or racers.

If I took half the time I waste surfing around this site (and the internet in general) and applied it to doing something worthwhile, I think I would find my current situation in life much more fulfilling. Hence, I think I'm finished with this site. Nothing personal, it's just not my cup of tea anymore. I'm rarely inspired to look at the sets anymore, and...

Ask, and you shall be ignored... at least until I can get through one uninterrupted episode of season 2 of Deadwood on OnDemand. I know I'm late to the party, but Ian Mcshane owns every last one of you, right down to your goldfish.

Back in Indy... again. Doing the employment dance... again. This is the starting line for my two-month dash of financial avarice...

Long Goodbye
Lady in the Lake
Big Sleep
Little Sister
High Window

That's how I rank my Marlowes

I also love his short stories which are collected in The Simple Art of Murder, especially one called "The King in Yellow"- if you are looking for a good non0Bogie Marlowe, try a young James Garner in "Marlowe" cooly updated for the 1960s and even with a sweet Bruce Lee cameo. It's my second favorite Chandler film besides the real Bogart one.

Of course, what I really would kill for is DVDs of the early 80s "Philp Marlowe private eye" series starring Powers Boothe -- those were on HBO and taken from the short stories. They sort of grafted on Marlowe as the prtagonist since he wasn't in the stories, but they did rock.

James Caan is good as old married Marlowe in "Poodle Springs" actually --- the book sucked cause the manuscript was unfinished when Chandler died and Robert PArker picks it up, very visibly, midway through -- but the movie is god because Caan really makes me think that this is what Marlowe would end up like more mature and married.

Thanks! It's a tribute to my favorite painting by my favorite artist. Back in middle school I was taking an art class at the museum while the Mucha exhibit was passing through. I think I must have tried to draw Monaco~ MonteCarlo at least three times over.

Yesterday I was at the gas station and some redneck in a rusted out pick-up filled with junk pulled up to the pump right next to me. This fine specimen of humanity proceeded to pull out an empty plastic milk container and started filling it with good ole highly explosive gasoline... while a lit cigarette dangled precariously from his lip the entire time. I was...

I'm reading all Chandler again these last weeks. I can't tell you or anyone else well enough how awesome Long Goodbye is compared to any other American novel -- ever. But since everyone else won't know what the hell I'm talking about, I am telling you, Doghizzle.

Star Wars tonite.

Thoughts later.

Thanks. I really don't like looking for jobs. It has been so easy being at the same place for almost 7 years. It'll be worth the stress and time if I can find something I like more than my current job though. Good luck on your own job search.

Much as I love the stache, it really is time to update your journal buster. Can't keep us all in suspense for this long every time.

I know it's a bit of a drive but I really think you and Jovia ought to come to my party this friday night.

There's going to be a goat. Or possibly a naked italian bartender. Or both.

I can't stop listening to the theme to the Benny Hill Show.

I. Can't. STOP!

They're going to find my rotting corpse slung over this computer desk, and they're going to have to run around in fast-motion, single file to remove it.

My adolescent vice.

I used to secretly tape that show (because it was on after midnight) and then watch it when my parents weren't home.

ok, that and "20 minute workout".

after, i will prolly go home, smoke a bunch of crack and blow my head off.

'cause i will never see anything as beautiful again.
