Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I would like to confess.

I have had stupid thoughts. Many over the course of my life. Some may consider it unfair to charge a man with a crime that so many are guilty of, but I have abused my stupidity.

It all started when I decided to learn a new song on the harmonica. I decided to learn Pachabel's immortal 'Canon in D'. I've always liked that piece, and thought that it would sound beautiful coming from my 'mouth harp'.

As I'm sure at least some of you are aware, harmonicas can only play one key. Because of this, it is necessary to have many harmonicas in order to be a versitile musician with them. Herein lies my crime.

As I sat down with a recording of the song (for alas, I am too stupid to read music, and must play by ear) and my harmonicas close at hand, I sat for one full minute, then attempted to search on the internet for and additional three to five minutes to find out WHAT KEY IT WAS IN! I had not been drinking. I wish I had. If I were, it might have been acceptable for me not to know what keyCANON IN FUCKING D was in. But I was not. And for this reason I must insist that you put me to death.
