So Im trying to write this book. It goes a little something like this
It was the end of a long August day. The sun was slowly setting in the western sky, painting the clouds a multitude of orange and purple.
Up, on an outcropping of stones, a young snake gazed longingly at the family of rabbits running and playing in the tall prairie grass of the field below. His name was Ichabod.
Come on son, its time to go to sleep. For snakes and rabbits alike. Said Ichabods father as he slithered up alongside his son.
Father? Asked Ichabod. How come snakes dont run?
Snakes dont run, they slither. Replied the father.
Why? Asked Ichabod.
Because, answered his father, its what snakes can do.
Just then a large owl, out for a night of good hunting soared swiftly over the field, scattering the frightened rabbits back to the safety of their burrows.
I want to run. Ichabod said to himself, following his father back to their den under the stone pile, as the sun slowly sank below the horizon giving way to the first stars in the night sky.
Tell me its good or tell me its crap and it needs fixin or just tell me to quit procrastinating and finish the damn thing already.
I also make these goofy comic strips from time to time:
