REFLECTIONS ON SARAH: PART 1 [\B]
"Alright boo... call me
(she paused)
Wow. I just boo'd you"
I KNOW... I love you. Talk to you later.
After I hung up the phone I immediately started a retrospection of how we had gotten to this point. I'm not exactly sure what it means, but I think that by exploring it I might be one step closer to understanding the convoluted complexities of the femenine mind.
First off I guess I should explain that while at one time I was rather preoccupied with methods of getting into Sarah's pants, all that went away the day she told me she loved me. Not because I'm afraid of commiting to her or anything, but precisely for the opposite reasons... because I want to preserve what we have.
So what do we have? Let me put our relationship into perspective. One of the greatest feelings in the world is when I wake up at her place and she may or may not know this, but I try to find as many excuses to do so as possible, and it's always available to me.... whether or not she's even home herself. That however we'll save for the second part of this story.
Sarah and her roomies throw parties eeverynow and then where a lot of people show up and good times are always had. For privacy purposes she usually puts a keep out signal in her doorway. It has been made apparent to me that this signal does not apply to me. somehow Sarah and I have found ourselves at the point where she can walk in on me changing clothes and unceremoniously start doing the same herself. The first time this happened it felt so habitual and nonchalant that I didn't even realize what had happened until she was done and out of the room.
I think her friend Lauren put it best. Sarah and I met through working on a project together a while back, where we just automatically clicked. While all the other guys drooled over her, she and I actually got to spend time together on a more personal level and found that we had a lot in common. Afterwards it got to the point where she and I hung out on a regular basis. So when I got an email from the Producer of that particular show inviting me to one of her parties that I wasn't aware of with the disclaimer that she didn't have anyone elses information from that show I was a little perplexed.
"Dude... you don't count in that group anymore. You're officially a man in her life now. She sends out those mass emails first and then she calls everybody she actually knows." (Lauren is extremely hott by the way)
Back when Sarah and I first started hanging out I asked her what she thought about me (On rare occasions I can be pretty straight forward like that). At the time she had just started "seeing" this guy that she actually liked for more than sex , which is apparently rare for her. Her response to my inquiry was... "If I wasn't in a situation that had a lot of potential right now, you and I would be spending a lot more time together"
Another female confidant of mine informs me that this basically means Sarah is the type of girl that loves male attention. She'll do whatever she has to do to get it, including stringing a guy along, although I don't think she'd do it intentionally or maliciously.
So how did we get to where we are now? And why did her telling me she loved me for the first timemake me decide that I could never let a petty thing like sex get in the way of our relationship? If you've been here before you already know the answer, but if not I'll explain the exact situation to you tommorrow.
