So I'm brand new to SG, and even newer to posting a blog... KInda feel stupid cause I don't even have any "friends" on SG yet. But whatever...
I'm a Remote Operation Paramedic, and I'm in Liberia Africa right now. I work on a 6 week on, 3 week off rotation. I abso - fucking - lutely LOVE it. I "grew up" in medicine in the Navy. I was a Corpsman stationed with the Marine Corps Infantry and cut my teeth in very very remote areas of the world. When I got out, I did the street medic thing for awhile, and I worked in house at various Trauma Centers across the US. But I wasn't satisfied with my work. Too structured, to rigid. I have been trying for YEARS to break into remote medical contracting work. And NO, not just for the money, but because it is my "calling."
I love the independence, the freedom, the critical thinking and the challenges that remote medicine offers. It's kinda like my dad used to describe flying... "Hours and hours of sheer boredom interspersed with moments of stark terror". GOD I love my fucking job.
Okay, well, not so sure what else to write, but I LOVE THIS DAMN SITE!!!!!!!! I had been toying with the idea of joining for years. But when I finally bought the new book... I joined the next day... And I'm freaking glad I did!!!!! LOVE the girls and I'm excited on exploring all this site has to offer!!!! Oh, I even ordered one of the Unisex T Shirts... That is my only complaint... There needs to be more guys stuff in the store!!!
More later!!!!!

Your work sounds completely amazing. I love the joy with which you talk about it. Upbeat positive blogs are my favorite.
I try an keep things upbeat. I see enough sorrow and heartache... People at their worst... Gotta go after life with a smile on my face and laughter in my heart... Damn I sound like a cheese dick...
Hey, you popped my blog comment cherry... AWESOME! And thanks!
