Whee, its Christmas.... But since we are all atheists, we don't celebrate it, but we do exchange gifts anyhow. (And we open them on winter solstice)
I got some sweet stuff, a few books that I am tearing through since there is little else to do here in my crappy hometown. I really know next to no one here anymore, and the ones I know are really heavy into their drugs. I would go visit them anyway, but their apartment that is nicknamed the drug den is frequented by cops, a lot. Mole people (finished), Imperial Hubris, All the Shah's men (over halfway) , The Peoples History of the United States.(huge)
Been playing some video games too, something that I haven't had time to do in ages.
I also got an air purifying device for my room because my roommate is a hopelessly stinky bastard. I have talked to him multiple times about it but he refuses to change. Damn it is frustrating. Sometimes I just leave the windows open at school (mind you it is bitterly cold outside, like 0 degrees) but he still refuses to change. Argh.
I still have 16 days of no school left. But I am already tired of it, because my hometown is soooooo boring.
Anyway, half life 2 is really cool. I suck terribly at counter strike, but it is still fun anyway. i use a SG spray which is kinda sweet.
I'm not sure what my summer plans for this year are going to be... Hmmm.... I don't know, I could try to go and do another intensive language course, but that would be mad hard. I still can't decide.

I wish that I had time to read The Mole People. One of my profs for next semester has already e-mailed an assignment for the first day of class. You know, the first day, when you get a syllabus, maybe have a few ice-breakers and go home? Yikes!
I'm really looking forward to the next Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. It will be out in mid-July and people are already pre-ordering.
My hometown is pretty small and boring, too. Luckily, though, it is close to Chicago!
My journal is updated for your perusal.
Happy New Year!
