I hung out at Canter's deli until 5:30am with my friend, John, from Capitol. There is a strange underworld of oddballs that congregate at a 24hr Jewish deli between the hours of 4:00am and 5:30am (myself and John included). They are few in numbers, but more than make up for the lack of quantity with copius amounts of pyschological inbalance.
My favorite last night was the drunken blonde amazon with a cane. It wasn't the constant table hopping she did or the frequent incoherent mumbles that won my heart. It was her relentless torment upon the waitstaff. Her claims that she was the overlooked heiress to the Canter's empire and demands that she be taken on a tour of the facility, to make sure that the family's name was not being sullied by a subpar eating establishment, bellowed throughout the restaurant.
Finally, in an attempt to placate her and keep her away from myself and the four other patrons, they agreed to give her an escorted tour. I do not know who this mystery woman was, but she will forever have a place in my heart!

Here's an ancient Capitol Records artifact...
This was used to cut grooves into these round pieces of vinyl, called "records". When played on a "turntable" these pieces of vinyl emmitted music. "Records" are almost extinct and this lathe is now sitting in the janitor's closet.
