First off, I'd like to thank the lovely Ms.Tarragon for all her flattering compliments on the song I wrote for her. I can't say enough wonderful things about her. She is truly a beautiful human being inside and out.
I talked to my friend, Lo, last night. She bought a new Futon in anticipation of my arrival in LA. I am so looking forward to being around music, musicians, and oppurtunities again. Nothing quite like being in your element after a long absence. A happy heart beats again.
I'm still trying to tie up some loose ends while I am in Maryland. I'm going to drive my grandparents up to New Jersey within the next week or two. That's where my grandfather's side of the family (the Sicilian side) was from. He hasn't been up there in years, and I'd like to take him before I go. It will make him smile, which will make me smile.
I had a strange dream last night. I usually don't remember any of my dreams, but this one stuck with me. I was at my soon to be ex-wife's house. Her dad was threatening to kick my ass. She runs up to me and pulls me into her room. She starts making out with me and I'm completely not into it. I mean there is nothing. She gets pissed off and tells me to leave. I leave, but I don't feel bad, I just feel indifferent. Everything in me just kind of shrugs and says "oh well, that's over". Strange. Time to move on with my life, I guess.
I'm listening to Jeff Buckley-"Halleluia". I know it's sacreligious, but I've always liked it better than the Leonard Cohen version. Don't get me wrong, Leonard can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned, but Jeff just adds this intangable passion that puts a vice grip on you. It makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. He was a Bad Motherfucker!
Question de jour:
What is the strangest dream you've had and what do you think it meant (if you know)?
