RIP Billy Preston

I had the honor of working on several sessions with Billy about 5 years ago. He and I used to hang on the front porch of the studio, smoking and bullshitting. He redifined the Hammond B3 organ, and was always smiling when he played. You could tell he absolutely loved and felt what he did. I will always have his stories and the lasting impression he made on my view of making music.
