I believe that burritos should become the world currency. Rather than being on the gold standard, the world should be on the burrito standard so that money could be easily used as food in case of an emergency. You hear about the fact that 1/3 of the world population lives on a $1 a day, but what if that became one burrito a day; doesn't sound as depressing, does it? Of course, I'm assuming that the exchange rate would be $1/burrito. Maybe I'm too optimistic. But what if your salary was 30,000 burritos a year? That sounds a lot more opulent than $30,000. You would think to yourself, "what am I going to do with all of those burritos?" I could easily spend $30,000, but it would definitely take me a year to figure out what to do with 30,000 burritos. This idea makes too much sense not to try.
I wasn't planning on it
