@bloghomework @rambo @missy This was a tough one. And I can only respond with a tie.
Alice In Chains Unplugged
And Nirvana Unplugged
Do you wanna know what the human soul sounds like? Do you wanna be able to hear the human heart absolutely crumbling? Two Men closing in on the untimely ends of their lives. Baring their everything, stripped down to the bone, and displayed in front of the world. What does it sound like? It's fucking beautiful. It's fucking honest, and fucking pure. It isn't merely just listening to albums. It's the redirection of your entire life. Show me a person who isn't changed in some way by these albums. And I'll show you a talking duck who can drive a car.
Also with the tie. I have to have a runner up, but on the opposite side of this spectrum.
Times Of Grace - The Hymn Of A Broken Man.
There isn't a dude in metal, who is more real than Jesse Leach. I had the pleasure of playing with a show with his hardcore band. Right after this album came out, and right before he rejoined Killswitch Engage. And that dude is a fucking inspiration. Just a beacon of hope, and positivity. And passion. Passion for music, and life in the human flesh. This album will break you apart, and rebuild you, all during it's run time.
