It's from a two day metal fest my old band Upon Crimson Wings set up in 2003. Our set was filled with technical issues. I was going through a shock rock type phase, so bleeding on stage had become a short lived staple. Up until said photo.
This was my GG Allin/Cactus Jack moment. This essentially saved the set. And through a haze of red, I saw the most intense mosh put I have ever seen. This is probably the most (In)Famous picture of me. It led to teenagers being traumatized into starting their own bands. And it's now famously known as the blood mask picture. The scar on my head is referred to as "The Scar."
I never went this hard on stage again. Cuz I could've bled to death. But I think this picture shows my passion for music. Stage performing. The literal blood sweat and tears of a damn near close 20 year music "Career."
