I decided to buckle down and record an hour of me spinning records on Saturday. I was excited to do so because I had figured out how to use my split cue (que? queue?) and upon messing around on Friday realized how much easier it was to get the beats together using it.
Well, it definiately won't be posted here. I have this problem of getting bored with records pretty quick, so I keep getting new ones. And I want to record using those new ones so I can be hip and have new songs. I think I need to get over that and pick good songs that will flow together and just keep recording them until I get it right...then I will post it.
This next Wednesday (April 6th) I will be bringin my turntables down to Clever Dunne's (an Irish pub accross the street from me) and hosing a "Bring Your Own Vinyl" night. The idea is for people to bring cool stuff, rarities, obscure or just neato tracks in and I will be a human jukebox. No real mixing or anything, just showcasing peoples stuff. I put a "No Techno Please" disclaimer; its not a dance club.
