So, I'm on the site daily, sometimes only on my phone, usually on my computer for a better experience.... And, just happened to check my own feed, and see it's really rather ...... dusty.... Needs some love, so, hopefully I don't sleep in to much tomorrow and waste the day in bed. I've a long weekend, no work tomorrow(Monday, today) because it's "Family Day" but, seeing as my family lives on the other side of the country, and, I've been a total hermit/shut-in all weekend..... why stop now, one more day of probably not leaving a 3 block radius from the house..... yay!!!!
Could have hit up a stop-light party on Saturday night, but, I hate going out alone, and all my friends are in couples, and, it was Valentines..... For those who are not familiar with a stop-light party, it's a party where everyone wears a single coloured glow-stick. You wear a Green glow stick if you're "single/open".... yellow for "It's Complicated" or, red for "Taken/Not Interested"....
I'll need to dig through my pics and stuff from now back to November, see if I actually have any pics I can post.... I'm not sure if I even have any pics.... I've done a bunch, but with people who I've known for a while, and we're not the "Take pictures of everything" type, so, I might have to Selfie up to show myself off....
So, I've been bearding since October, only minor trims and sculpting, so I guess I'll need to get a selfie with that, since I doubt I've any facial hair other than my chin in any pics at all....
Still winter here, been out tobogganing with family about a month ago, was great times. Also, my little sister went to the Dominican with her in-laws, for a two week trip, so i got to dog-sit for them while they were away. I love her pups, two awesome Huskies, though, Summit, the less fluffy one, was recently hit by a car and was in recovery for the whole two weeks, so I had to carry her up and down the stairs to let her out. Though, she's doing better now, so, all good things. And, she actually showed great improvement even in the 2 weeks I had her. When she first came over she couldn't go up or down the stairs, after the first 4 days, she was going down the stairs on her own, and, on the last 2 days, she was even going up the stairs on her own. I think leaving her in the house all day while I was at work got her to try to get to the door more, but, it was -40 outside, and her hind legs were shaved for surgery, and I couldn't leave her outside all day, even with the dog house to keep the wind off.
The dogs didn't enjoy being separated, as at first, I was leaving Summit inside with a few treats, and leaving Aven outside, since she's a big bully and greedy when it comes to food. Summit barely ate when she was healthy, and her appetite didn't get better while she was immobilized, so, I couldn't leave food out near Aven, or she'd eat it. Also had to monitor them while I gave them dinner, as Aven would inhale her food before Summit even got to her bowl, then, Aven would circle like a shark around Summits bowl, and, once Summit stopped eating, and layed down, Aven would try to sneak in and eat the rest.... So, back to separation anxiety... I'd been leaving Aven out and Summit in, but the people who lived upstairs said both dogs would cry for a good 3 hours after I left for work, so, once I heard that, I left them both inside. The people upstairs let me know they were much quieter, so it worked out, but, when I got home, Aven would meet me at the door, nearly knocking me over trying to get out, and, Summit would be at the bottom of the stairs, so I'd have to get my boots off, go down and get her, then carry her back up, which I guess was a little too cruel for her, forcing her to get up the nerve to climb the stairs herself....
I love those dogs. Good times. But, it's 330 in the am, so, I'ma head to bed, and hopefully can find some pics from the past 4 months to maybe make a second update tomorrow(today)..... G'Nite.
