Great weekend.
Didn't take any pictures though, it was raining the whole time, and I was too busy drinking, didn't want to damage/lose the camera.
Drive to Ottawa was pretty chill, made great time through Toronto, especially for a Friday afternoon. Got to Ottawa in less than the usual 6 hours, and my friends had pizza waiting!!! Yum!
Saturday was good, nice relaxing morning, bought a bit of beer at the beer king, 4X48 & 1X24 = $267, and filled my whole trunk. My friend forgot to mention we were going to a house party including a hottub, so we went to three different stores to find swim shorts for myself, and since they're out of season, couldn't find them. Went to a winners, then Walmart, then some sports store... Figured Walmart would have had lots, but all we could find were in sizes 4XL and 5XL.... After our shopping excursion, we packed up and headed to the party which was a celebration of the end of beach volleyball season, but due to the weather, it was a poor turn-out to start.
Party was slotted to start at 1pm or so, we didn't even leave for it till 4ish.... when we got there, there were only 10 people there so far, so it was pretty chill, got to play some pool/billiards for a bit, then the volleyball court got set up. Started off with 4 on 4, out in the pouring rain, but it was great fun. Lots of beer breaks, and a bunch of the peeps jumped in the hottub between games for a warm-up.
As the day went on, more people showed up, by the time it was too dark to play, we were rocking 6 on 6 games, in a mud court in the rain. Was a great time.
Then chili dogs and other food, followed by Fireworks!!! Fireworks in the rain are just as fun, but harder to set up since we tried to do it in waves. All in all great little show.
Then, basically the party split, bunch in the hot tub, bunch playing pool, and lots of music, dancing and drinking everywhere.
Left the party round 3 or so, having exhausted our brought beer supply around midnight.
Sunday was pretty chill, went out for breakfast, then watched "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey". Then from there went and visited my sister, played a couple games of Dominion, then the long drive home, which again, took less than 6 hours. Was a great weekend, and my voice is still gravelly, and all the aches and pains from the great times are still healing.
Aches and pains include: Sore shoulder, stubbed toe, sliced open leg, and sore throat. All of which is minor of course, but there none the less.
Hope everyone else's weekend was as good or better!!!
Have a good one!
