Just got back from a work trip to California, but I got to have some fun and see my old friends as well which was good. I'm pretty wiped out, only one day of work to get through before the weekend

Made a trip up to Portland this weekend and got to check out the Art Museum and Powell's books. The museam had some cool impressionest paintings of Oregon and California scenes. I'm always a sucker for impressionest art...must have someting to do with being nearsighted.

Powell's books is awsome, supposedly the biggest bookstore in the country or something. I picked up a book of peotry...

Got to see an old friend yesterday. It had been 4+ years since I'd seen him, but it seemed like it had just been days since we'd last seen each other. You've always got to like that.

Going to see Modest Mouse tomorrow

Also will hopefully see an old college friend I haven't seen in years

I got a new side view mirror for my car today for only $20 at the junkyard to replace the one I stupidly broke.

I also learned that the modern PC term for a junkyard is "auto wrecking yard." Evidently they don't like being associated with the word "junk". I suppose I can't blame them.

Anyway, car is fixed for only $20

My only SG friend has officially ragged on my for not updating my journal, so I better get on it or I'll end up with none.

Worked late tonight, making up for slacking and taking extra time off last holiday weekend. I took a trip back to San Francisco and I learned once again that you can never go back...Oregon is my home now even...
