The further I investigate the art world the more I grow to be frustrated. I see fellow artists making the bread off what they do best and yes I do know they had to sacrifice to get to that point. I just would like to know how they found time to bounce about a full-time job, perhaps school, maybe friend time, family time, art time, errands etc... Maybe I am just being lackadaisical toward the whole art thing. Or maybe I need a daily energy drink? I cant even find the time or energy to pull my crap together after work. I am so drained and all I want to do after 5:00PM is go to my dwelling, kick off my shoes, draw, consume food, see my man and snooze. Jeez, the more I type the more I am coming to realize that my job sucks the life out of me. I no longer have a strong artistic thought process, which I used to possess. If I am ever going to become the artist I want and need to be, I need to quit working and start drawing/painting full-time. Haha that is in a perfect world I guessI need to stop dreaming and get my act togetherI will start kicking my ass right.....meow!

oh my god you are saying exactly what i think and feel every day ... it is so hard to know what the right thing to do is. put yourself in a box everyday and sacrifice the things you love to do so that you can afford to live a comfortable life... or just doit {doit}. give up the comforts and go crazy.

I agree immensely...I also have a hard time keeping myself motivated within the time restraints of life... Your illustrations are laverly by the way..if you are not already you should freelance on the side!!! I thought redbull would help me, I mean I sit in an office type environment but shizer it drains me mentally. I tell myself its the balance of keeping emotionally and mentally stable along with eating the right stuff and exercising. The older I get, the more of a coger I feel and I am thinking about taking up the role of Peter Pan full-time...EEK...I miss the good old hs bs...no matter how awquard adolecence is. Keep up the good work gurlie. You are fab!
