I'm so blah today, work sucked. I work with all men because I'm working at a garage and basically I get to listen to really stupid jokes that I fake laugh at so it's not awkward. One guy I work with is weirdly religious which wouldn't be weird since it is Arkansas BUT he loves to reference his mother and that freaks me out a...

ckdexterhaven:
Yeah, they had a Troma marathon on cable leading up to Halloween. They were all pretty fuckin' crazy. I think the Toxic Avenger 1 and 2 are probably my favorites. I love how over the top they were.

Man, being busy has taken over my life. I had a great Halloween though...I went to So Cal from Oct 19th to Oct 27th, loved it. I think I wanna live there. For Halloween I was a Zombie, yeah cliche but I was dead broke from the traveling expenses. I went to my first Roller Derby match, it was crazy and a girl broke her...

This weekend was Tulsafied. We hit some thrift stores. I found some cool records, The Cars, David Bowie, Some Old Disney and some Lounge Music. Always a good thing. Then I found some this chalkware elephant which I love. I found a Bradley doll and that's about it. We ate at the Metro Diner which is soooo amazing as always and then we hit Cheap...

Hey, I just saw this movie the other day called Dead and Breakfast. I don't know if you've seen it, but if you haven't I have a feeling you'd like it. It has a classic soundtrack too, definitely makes the movie. I liked it enough I bought it, even if it only has 5 real songs. Check it out if you can. Netflix has it (if I remember you saying you had a subscription there). Talk to you later.

Hey, if you need tats, you should come over to Eureka Springs and see me. I tattoo over here at a shop called Tattoos Eureka Style, and I would love to tattoo some horror-punk beach scene/Crimson Ghost on such a lovely girl as you. Check out the shop website here for our work.

So my day has taken a great turn. I found out for sure that my boyfriend and I are going to NYC next month and spending almost two weeks there. The end of October...so exciting. There's so much to do. Evil Dead the musical, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Greenwich Village Halloween Parade...It's my first East Coast trip and I can't wait. My friends b-day is...

cool stuff there. i remember my mom had the original LP album of The Monster Mash. Gotta love it. you've probably seen this already, but this is a cool video for that song:

I even spotted a clip from The Creeping Terror and Killer Shrews in that video. Those are on two of my fav eps of MST3K. The Creeping Terror is easily one of the worst movies ever made. I mean that as a compliment, of course. wink
I really don't have any real plans for Halloween. I see that you are headed for NY, that should be fun. Maybe you'll run into Jason, well if you drop by Manhatten. There's this dude I see around here from time to time who looks kinda like Michael Myers. Well, through the mask at least. The music to that movie is so creepily perfect. biggrin
heh, the munster rule. wink
the_mad_monk:
Oh yeah Six String Samurai is the shit!!! it's Mad Max meets the Buddy Holly story.

here's another cool movie i'd bet you'd like!!!

i enjoy reading your posts always. every one teaches me about a facet of someones life and something new. i didnt know a thing about B movies, horror flicks and halloween monster type stuff before divine. now i have a understanding. i know its cliche, but its like a whole new world for me...just about everything i see on here is basicly. all you need is a open mind, i guess.

So I may be going to New York/New England this fall. I am so excited. Anyway I've been bored out of my mind lately. I watched Maniac Cop yesterday. I got some coffee today from Starbucks, I'm just such a trendy girl. I bought some new lipgloss...cherry...very nice shade. I'm so boring it's sad but I really have nothing going on in my life right...

Monster Squad was one of my favorite movies as a kid. I miss it a lot. I wish there were a version on DVD but it hasn't happened yet. Hopefully Paramount or Universal or whoever owns the rights to it will have a change of heart.

If that guy is who I think it is, he was the best thing about American Splendor, which isn't saying a lot. I couldn't get into it.
the_mad_monk:
That looks like an awsome movie!!!

I Haven't checked out the Arkansas Group in a while, and just wanted to say Hi.

Yeah, Tim was quite striking, with his waifish physique. And that dashing fashion sense, flinging his shirt over his shoulder like some bon vivante. I liked the comment "Jeez, do a push-up, kid." biggrin
That's kind of weird, how you put it. In effect, The CBP (the abbreviated Charles B. Pierce, just between you and me), intentionally or unintentionally gave us a twisted feast of the Arkansas buffett. A cross between Deliverance and a bad Hee-Haw sketch. So, you were born in Arkansas? How did you escape conforming to it? I hope I don't sound like i'm a jerk, I really have nothing against Arkansas, i'm basically taking your word on most of this stuff. wink
Oh, and as far as the Wild Horses thing goes, I'll work on it. ooo aaa

your posts are always worth reading. i love learning about what makes people tick. i hope you re-up SG if for no other reason then to give us more to read.

Currently Watching: Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers

I am so dedicated to my Xanga...it's sad. I think I like it better because you can add music and pictures very easily. I just don't get MySpace. SG is cool but it's not as personal as Xanga. I just wish I were computer smart. So I've been sooooooo bored lately. I've been reading like a nut, painting...a little. I...

That witches movie doesn't quite ring a bell, but if It's fucked up in the least, i'd probably be interested. That reminds me, they usually show this old french serial from 1915 on TCM during the Halloween season (It's called Les Vampires). It's about this underground society (i'm not sure if they're actually vampires or not) who terrorize the people of Paris. I think I sat down and watched the whole thing one time, it was definitely creepy enough to be worth it. So... Charlie B. Pierce is a hero of yours huh?

He is one badass mofo, i'll admit. Heh, they showed Boggy Creek 2 on MST3K way back when, and it's easily one of my favorite episodes. Krenshaw the Mountain Man was great, i'm sure they've erected statues in his honor over there in Texarkana County. biggrin

ps: are you into The Zombies at all. Their name is a little decieving (they are basically a 60's pop/rock group), but they were on the Munsters on time. So they do have that going for them. wink

I actually saw this movie for the first time only a few years back. It was one of those movies I had always meant to see, but never quite got the chance. It's gotta be the creepiest and coolest movie ever. There's also an alternative soundtrack out there with Type O Negative. It fits in perfectly with the movie.

Nah, Lady in the Water isn't a werewolf film. The only thing it has in common with werewolves is that they both involve creatures of the supernatural. There is a wolfish creature in the movie, but a werewolf it isn't. Don't let that dissuade you though, because it is splendid.

THAT SHIRT: If it had Dracula on there and said Squad underneath the monsters I would pick it up without a second thought. Although, it does look a little femine cut. Fuck it, I'd wear it anyway! surreal

So yesterday I went to Branson with Miranda. It was awesome, only because Branson is all pink flamingos and tropical theme motels. I love that. There was a lot of photography potentials. Miranda didn't bring her digital camera...too bad. First we hit the Salvation Army (DUD)!!! and then this over priced "thrift" store where she tried to haggle for this great sweater but the guy...

Ah yes, William Castle was great. I loved the gimmick he did for his film "The Tingler," where he set up buzzers underneath the seats in theaters to scare people. And warned his audience that the fright from his movies might cause "sudden death."Oh yeah, "House on Haunted Hill" is another great one. That's a definite halloween tradition around these parts. I think "House of Wax" was probably my favorite movie when I was like 6 or 7, I always thought he looked really cool dressed up in that cape thing of his.

I admit that I haven't seen that FInal Destination movie, but if you liked it it must have some merit. wink
That rotten cotten site looks crazy. I see that alien from "This Island Earth" (I think) and John Wayne Gacy in that picture up there. Hmmm, freaky combo. biggrin

Hey! I'm back and better than ever. So I've been living it up this summer. I've mostly been doing a lot of thrift store shopping and hanging out at Cheap Thrills in Tulsa. Fun stuff. kiss I also discovered the wonderful world of Rankin-Bass. I love Mad Monster Party. I also have been obsessed with Blythe dolls lately. I also bought an original Monster Mash LP,...

Great to here from you again. I have not seen that video you were talking about, I'll have to check it out. I'm always interested in seeing kids who belong in an asylum. Preferably from afar. biggrin
Thrift shopping is good times, a lot treasures out there. Like this guy said one time: "one man's bile is another man's meal." Well, you get what I mean. Didn't Boris Karloff or someone like that sing The Monster Mash? Or maybe I'm thinking of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. I was watching The Abominable Dr. Phibes a few nights back, I'm sure you've seen it. It's right up your alley (hopefully you take that as a compliment, cause that's how I meant it wink )

(I don't know about you, but I think the exoskeleton look is in)

There was this part where the Good Doc (aka Vincent Price) set up this acid shower thing and accidently used it on his own wife/girl. So campy and goulish and fun. The Pit and The Pendulum is another one of his I haven't seen for a while but love. Just enough blackness and genuine evil to it to keep interest.

Seriously, Vincent Price is god. Oops, sorry for rambling on a bit. wink
