I woke up on Thursday with a 102.2 degree fever and the worst migraine I've had in my life. Every muscle in my body was spasming and I was just freakin' miserable, not to mention it was 80 degrees in the bedroom and I was still shivering. I popped a couple of motrin, hoping the fever would break enough to function and it did for a little while. Within an hour or so the fever had spiked yet again and I was having trouble caring for Stetson, talk about the worst feeling in the world. Again, same thing, more motrin and some rest while my SO pretty much waited on me and the baby all day 'cause he was awesome enough to call into work. Well, it kept going like this for the entire day and by 9pm, I seriously thought I was going to die. It was to the point where I COULDN'T care for the baby at all. My legs and arms were numb and extremely weak, I couldn't carry him or feed him, nothing. I was in tears, thinking I was the worst mom in the world. I HAD to go to the ER, in case there was some sort of infection. So in a mad dash Kyle woke Stetson, helped me get dressed and had his brother take me to the ER, while he went to the store to get the baby some formula and drop the baby off at his Aunt's house so Kyle could meet me at the ER.
While at the ER there was a horribly long wait. But after a couple hours I was seem, and the doctor agreed we needed to check for a bunch of infections, so a bunch of blood was drawn, chest x-rays were taken, and I was hooked up to and IV and given phetanyl for the pain. Good stuff by the way, I was pretty much wrecked after a little bit of that stuff. A couple more hours of waiting and we came to the conclusion I have bronchitis...The first thought that popped into my head was "how the hell do I have bronchitis?!"...I didn't have a bad cough and I wasn't wheezing or having chest pains. So I was sent home with antibiotics and hydrocodone and strict orders to stay hydrated. We filled the prescriptions and picked up Stetson from his Aunt and went home to try to sleep. Hah.
By the next day I felt much better but still not 100%...
