ive fallen in love with a number of nameless faces
but my LUCY she keeps me coming back to unfamiliar places
waking up with strange abrasions and hospital bracelets
if there was a rehab for you i'd be a recurring patient
ive faced your firing squad, one too many times before
been stranded one too many times ashore
after sailing your seas and weathering your storm

(i) left underappreciated cadavers yawning
as i dug my own grave for the 4th time on an early winter morning
the cold weather kicked at my frost bitten hands
so i stuck the shovel thick into snow covered land
and i dug this grave, this seasonal home ive made
ill rest here during winter and wait for your return like summer's slave
like the love you gave, 6 years back that had me stray
off every single beaten path ive braved
just to give my breath the privilege to carry your name
