Nothing changes.
I got dressed for work this morning and donned a rain proof jacket as the tv told me rain was due today.
Walking to the train station I reached for my smokes and noticed something crumbled in the breast pocket only to discover it was an old train ticket that read "London Waterloo to Brussels return, 11/11/2000". I suddenly realised this jacket is at least 8 years old. It was a present for my 22nd birthday and it kept me warm and dry whilst travelling throughout Eurpoe many moons ago. The next revelation to hit me was my impending 30th birthday- holy shit, I'm OLD! But I don't feel old....
Anyway, the point is, I'm wearing a jacket that I thought was stylin 8 years ago. I still dress the same as I did when I first left my teen years. How do I feel about this? Is this something that should concern me, because I am concerned. Only I'm not sure which direction to take with it. Is change a complete necessity on the course to the end or is a strong character base, shaped and moulded over the years, imperitive for longevity?
I suppose I answered my own question already with the very first line of this self indulgent diatribe here, but I ponder it all none-the-less.
If you've taken the time to read this, why don't you tell me what's on your mind. I'm feeling quite chatty....
