What to do?

I once had a close friend, we would chat about everything.

Nothing changed once she was married, we would still chat, I'd be at their house for dinner several times a month.

Then she discovered that her husband of 3 months had been cheating on her for 6 months... (Im quite proud of myself that he's still able to walk )

I was the FIRST person she told.

Since then she has spoken to me less and less.

then our mutual friends notice that this guy we all know is spending a lot of time at their place. I mean a LOT.

It was about this time that the invitations to dinner stopped, the chat's stopped, EVERYTHING stopped.

I was told at a get together that she had some issues that she couldnt tell me directly so I was told by a mutual friend. Apparently all was forgiven although I had done nothing that needed forgiving according to the mutual friend.

That was 4 weeks ago.

I told this person whom I thought a close friend about my planned move to a rural area 9 hours drive away and got a "Whatever" type of response....


So... Im cutting my losses and looking forward!

UPDATE 1-5-06

Called the girl in question to try and have a chat at about 4:30pm this arvo (she's a school teacher so she's home early).

I'll never know what the story is but all I got was, "Im not in the mood to deal with you! *click*"

and I still have NO FUCKING IDEA what is going on...

ahhh well you can only try so often...
