Ok, So I'm finally sitting down to watch Ray. I've loved his music since I was little, but I was too scared to watch this movie thinking it was going to make me cry (which it has already) but man I had no Idea!
I just thought he was some sweet lil' blind man. But he had his demons too which we all do. I'm not in any place to judge, but wow! I think I'm now going to have to get a book on him now that I've seen this.
Just like "Walk the line" it was a good movie but his book Cash tells so much more than the movie does, I guess like anything else its one persons side.
Does anyone have the soundtrack to Ray? Is it good?
I'll tell you one thing though I wish I lived in the 50's! Man the clothes, the hair, the cars! And man you were a part of revolutions! The only thing I feel like my generation has that they can say they remember where they were when it happened was 9/11. My mother has so much more! Not saying that 9/1 was an event I'd like to remember but you know

Yes I listened to him for years but never knew about his life. It made his music so much meaningful because you could visualize what he was goin thru when he made the music. I loved it, but yes I felt this immense sadness you speak of also. I posted new pics
