i just saw a movie, called "everything is illuminated" with elijah wood...and other people. it was incredibly good. ridiculously good... quite good. it started out very funny...mostly bad translation humour...and 'seeing eye bitch' humour, then towards the end, got very intense and heart-breakingly morose (i know, i definately spelled that wrong, but bear with me, people, i am quite shit-faced) it was one of the best movies i have seen in a long while. without trying to give away the ending...it was about a traditional jewish family, well, one ocd jewish boy, trying to fing out about this girl that saved his grandfather from the holocaust.(by the way, her name was augastine, which, for all intensive perposes, was the name of the patron saint of feminism) . and, so, it starts out very funny, and half way through it, half the audience is balling like little babes, and myself, who is notorious for being an 'ice queen' is wiping my tears and nose on my scarf. oh, the ending is marvelous, and i cant stop thinking about how ingenious this entire story is, and apperently there is a book, which i have never heard of, but must read, because i absolutely love books that move me to cry. SEE IT... that is the moral to this tale. the best movie about world war II that i have ever seen, and again, i hope i dont read this some other time and think, wow, i can be a dolt when i drink jagger almost nonstop for three hours, but i am not making it up when i say, yes, this is indeed worth $10 and two hours of your life. i think im done now, and also, bay bridge traffic sucks much ass on a saturday night. the end.
