Let's brighten things up a bit.
California: Let's focus on the positives!
After the tumult of rage that had built up inside of me that came to be directed at my new home on the Central Coast had spewed into my SG journal, suddenly things started to get better. People were nicer, the roads started to seem less dangerous, and for a moment I was actually psyched to be here. So to try to keep my buzz going, I'm going to focus my attention on some of the GOOD things about the Central Coast.
-People take good care of their cats. There are vets and Animal Hospitals all over the place, and everyone I've talked to who has a cat seems very interested in making sure their kitty is happy and healthy. This item means more to me than it probably should.
-Dude, there is coffee EVERYWHERE. You can't go more than 2 blocks in any direction without seeing a coffee shop. And 99% of them are good to fantastic. This makes my occasional attempts at caffeine sobriety very difficult, but I count this as a positive nonetheless!
-Books, yo. There are lots of bookstores, and if you know where to look you can get awesome deals. Today I got a nice hardcover of Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas by Tom Robbins for 5 bucks, and a good copy of Deadeye Dick by Kurt Vonnegut for $4.50.
-God damn video games. A five minute car ride will bring me to 3 different game stores, and if you're crafty you can get really good stuff for cheap. Like when I got a complete copy of Zelda: The Minish Cap for 9 bucks.
-The weather, obviously. It gets rainy and strangely chilly around here, but it's nothing compared to the abuse inflicted on me by the climate back on Long Island. This item combined with the previously mentioned scenery gorge-osity makes it very easy to convice myself to go for regular walks, thus decreasing my trademark fattitude.
-It's pretty easy to maintain a healthy diet out here. It's just as easy to eat badly out here as anywhere else, as is demonstrated by the overwhelming number of fatties waddling around everywhere, but if you put in a bit of effort, you can eat pretty well.
Ugh. All this positivity is exhausting.

If by sweet, you mean disturbingly pale and lumpy, then well. . .I guess I thought sweet meant something else entirely.
