Our band tried out a new drummer, a work related friend of our singer, and Friday ended up being quite a nice surprise. The drummer has a very nice metal/hardcore style of drumming that fits our style perfectly. I am glad that his attitude fits within our odd off beat sense of humor. Chances are within the next few months we should be ready to start playing some shows. I am now in the market for getting a new half stack and I am starting to look more at Genz Benz amps. I am currently looking at getting the EL DIABLO 100 which is an EL 34 powered 100/50 watts head. Should be around 1800 for the head and the stack.
In other news, I am no longer going to be playing bass for Church & State with shawnapt2 due to time constraints with our schedules. There are no hard feelings as we were both thinking the same thing and we both agreed that this would be the best way for both of our bands to go forward. Shawn just spoke with a new bass player tonight that has a jazz playing background ... I feel he should fit nicely with their style of music.
