This is a 1960's Sears' Silvertone Guitar with the amplifier built into the guitar case. It belonged to John Cipollina. I don't know if he played it very often, or it was just part of his collection. The fuses in the amplifier looked corroded. His sister thought they had a Danelectro with amplifier built into the guitar case; and I searched the house and found this instead. Sears was a department store and sold the guitars through their mailing catalog, too. @headshot

@headshot in USA they had the Sears/Roebuck mail order catalog. This guitar was sold through that catalog. Remember the Danelectro had 24 frets? and you can barely play 14 frets on this one. It was sold as someone's first electric guitar package in mid 1960s.
