Do you know that stage of dreaming before you fall totally asleep? You are dreaming but still hear sounds or you are aware of your room? Some of the coolest and scariest dreams happen then?
Last night, I had the Beatles White Album side two playing while falling asleep. I was trying to stay awake for Rocky Raccoon, but usually I fall asleep on Blackbird. I was still awake as Rocky Raccoon started to play, but then quickly dosed off in the opening lines. I could hear the song while staring to dream, and the whole story came to life. The dream showed the story of the lyrics. Then when Rocky Raccoon checked back into his room, I saw him very clearly.
Rocky Raccoon looked different than I had imagined. He was medium height or maybe a little short. His red/brown beard and mustache were well groomed. He had a bit of a steam punk look. Old west clothes, but a bit like a lumberjack, with a vest, and earth tone colors.
In my dream, I was so excited to see what Rocky Raccoon really looks like. I fell totally asleep during the piano roll de-de-de at the end. One of all time favorite dreams!
