So I'm hijacking my dad's internet connection while I'm visiting him here in Innisfail, AB, trying to give you all a decent update between glances at the World Junior team light up the lamp at Slovakia's side and cringing at the weakness of our own goal-tending...thusly, I mean to say its going pretty slow.
I've moved back in with my mom and step-dad in Sherwood Park for the duration of my medical leave mostly because I won't have to worry about room or board costs, plus I'll have a much better access to healthy food (as well as a steady supply I guess). Good things for money and focus on health, but bad news for entertainment and communication. The house has an internet connection, but my parents are unwilling to share it for my personal use (im'ing or this wonderful place), or upgrade to a service where they'll have two IP addresses. So I'm now stuck to email communication only . Bah. I can sorta see where they're coming from though - I've got a little sister and brother (ages 8 and 10 respectively), and constant pr0n on somebody's computer will sorta raise some uncomfortable questions. Still...Bah.
Now onto a more normal update. Started the new meds this week...but after 4 days the doctor took me off of it. Why? Stupid 72 dollar bottle of pills gave me a freakin pancreatic infection . Wednesday night I was suffering from a fever of 103 and pain across my abdomen and back like you would not believe. Fortunately for me though, withing 12 hours or so the fever broke, and I'm now feeling quite recovered from that little episode. Back to the drawing board it seems, eh doc?
Thanks for the well-wishing everyone, same with the christmas cheer. Until I can find a more regular way of checking my journal from now one, I'm a gonna be fairly quiet returning the favors. You can still email me if you like, and I'd love to hear from you all if there's something exciting going on. Have a wonderful holiday season and maybe I'll find some time to update before the new year.
Ciao

edited to say: i just read your journal entry as well...shit man, we should start a sicky club or something...maybe we can spend new years sipping on virgin daiquiris and caesars. even better we could get, uh....better.
