Lovely day off. Took our bikes all over the bike trails, tried to check out the trestle fire over by CalExpo, but it's already been torn down and is being rebuilt, so the trail is naturally blocked.
Good ride. I think I'd like a new bike, though. One with gears, to help me keep up-- my vintage Schwinn Hollywood is a bitchin' ride (even in the sorry state it seems to be in), but it would be nice to be able to ride longer. Ah well. First, let me get my Ghia up and running, then I can worry about a new bike. Or, hell, let me get our living situation taken care of... Who knows if we'll be here in May? Last thing we want to do is move. If we move, we will have exhausted all other avenues of staying put.
Blah. Ate too much Thai noodle salad Bryan made for dinner. Delicious! Too spicy though-- not expecting that much kick from store bought Thai peanut sauce. Ah well, live, learn, and water it down somehow next time.
Am beginning to realize what a special job I have, with opportunities not many others get to have. It's a pretty cool gig, but I don't know if it's worth it in the long run. Do I want to work retail forever? (NO.) I did get to talk to Minnie and Mickey Mouse on the phone... (No, seriously.) Eh, if something more lucrative comes along, then's the time to m ake rash decisions.
