Nah. We're gearing up for the busy season. I should know these things by now. 2 years in Old Sacramento, Christ, you'd think I'd have learned something.
Caught some of the Oscars tonight. Ellen, to me, is genuinely funny. (And fucking fortunate-- Portia deRossi? Shit, I'd probably go gay for her.) Mostly watched episodes of Miami Ink.
Surprise, surprise, bad roommate can't afford to live with us, so hes moving out. Goodbye dog who shits everywhere, goodbye roomie sleeping till 4:30 in the afternoon and waking only to play video games. Goodbye, goodbye, good riddance! We're getting along quite well since we heard the news. Funny, innit? How some people you can have a great time with, but just can't stantd to live with. What remains to be seen is how much money we can get out of him for damages to this joint. We shall see.
Next day off is Thursday. I can do this! I just gotta hear back about the county job soon-- the sooner I know, either yay or nay, the sooner I can move on. (To a better gig, or hunkering down and finding things about my job that makes me happy.) One thing that drives me nuts is that my friendly superior is a control freak, and will pretty much latch on to any new open responsibility. So... no advancement for me! I can't learn to do new things. BUM.
New job is probably the answer, but I think that's what I tell myself every time.
